Yes, yes, yes! It’s finally going to happen! After more than eight years since their first conception I will be sharing the Star Wars stories I have written during that time! Some of these I wrote on my own, but several have also been co-written. Both will be included. If you’ve been keeping up with my Ghosts of Writing Past series you’ll have seen the Star Wars role play sessions I took part in, including the most recently discussed one, Order 66.
First played and written alongside my fellow EJO’ers on the forum of the Earth Jedi Order, the various posts of the Order 66 session were later compiled and edited into story form by me. I would take the posts, cut and paste the pieces so that it would be more of a flowing story, remove certain (small) parts that seemed to contribute little to nothing to the story and added in a few bits here and there to fill up certain cracks or complete unresolved storylines. As I tried to keep the story as much in the Star Wars canon as possible I changed or removed certain terms and concepts that did not quite fit there. Examples are references to Earth and Jedi Masters who would probably not yet have reached that rank in the Star Wars universe at that age. With the exception of one character (whose age has been changed) the “young Masters” have been changed to Jedi Knights. Overall, though, I made every attempt to keep both the text itself and the content of the story as intact as possible out of respect for the original writers.
Soon after, the finished work would go by the title Order 66: Another Side, Another Story. A simple, but no less apt title. After all, the story deals with Order 66, but from a perspective not seen in the movies and other canonical works. I’ve always liked it and actually latched onto it pretty much since the moment it was first coined. The credit for the title goes to Nillanthir Zerati, fellow Jedi, dear friend and partner in crime. He is certainly among the main inspirations for my writing revival (and the one who has infected me with the use of the ^_^-style emoticons! … ^_~). We would go on to write plenty more and had plans to put our writings online on our own website. It would have been could A2Z Productions (get it? A for Ashukahwa, Z for Zerati and it’s pronounced as A to Z… It’s like a pun. … Am I explaining too much? Should I stop doing that now? I’ll stop doing that now. ^_^;) and it would have been great if it wasn’t for the simple matter that the site never really got off the ground and the stories would not leave our computers. But now that’s going to change as the story that gave birth to A2Z Productions will finally be shared with the world! I intend to start posting the first parts next week!
I’m currently on the lookout for people (preferably native English speakers) willing to help edit the story and iron out the final flaws. Should you be interested, please leave a comment or send me a message and I’ll get back to you with more details. Be warned that the story is 42 pages (over 22.5 thousand words) long and I must urge that, me being a poor student (poor me! ^_~), I can’t offer much financially. I can give you credit and a link to your website, if you so want. Also, you’ll get the opportunity to be among the first to read the story and – most importantly – that warm fuzzy feeling for helping out an author in need, not to mention eternal fame once I take my rightful place among the stars of the literary firmament! *cough* ^_ ~ If that won’t convince you to do this for this complete and utter stranger, fair enough. If it did, thank you so much! I hope to get in touch with you soon!
In conclusion: it’s coming, everyone! GET HYPE! ^_~
