And so Saturday became yet another work-until-late-to-make-that-thesis-deadline day. Fun times… Since I was already behind on schedule (the actual deadline was Friday) this threw quite a monkey wrench into my weekend writing plans. It meant no post for Saturday and no catching up for the missed day earlier this week, just when I really had some plans running in my head. At some point I was really tempted to just finish it the next day, but I’m glad I pulled through and got things done yesterday. Now that I have written the introduction and conclusion, the thesis is, content-wise, finally done. The next part will be editing and probably one of the most annoying parts, cutting the text to get it under the word limit. It’s never fun to get rip out a significant part of something I’ve been working really hard on for months. In this case is 2,500 words, about five pages, of content basically thrown away. Blegh… Unfortunately it has to be done. Better get it over with quickly. It’s unlikely the definitive version will be done before the end of April, but it won’t be much longer. Yes, the end is now truly in sight! We are most excited! ^_^
