So here we stand once again, looking down from a newly reached point on this bumpy but great writing journey. This little one year old blog started as a way to kickstart my writing again and to get it out there, to share it with others who love writing and reading as much as I do. And now, well, that’s still what this is. The big difference is that now, as we near the year’s end, no less than two hundred people are following it, reading it and, I very well hope, enjoying it! Yes, as of yesterday the number of people coming together and following the Ashukahwa Archives has doubled since we reached the first one hundred mark in April of this year. It’s really quite amazing and certainly a humbling experience, far from what I had expected when I started writing in late December of 2013.
Speaking of which, the day before yesterday marks the first anniversary of my very first post here and my fairly ambitious declaration of writing and posting something every single day! So…
We all know how well that ambition held up a few months in, but the big dip is behind me. We can celebrate the first birthday of that point that has most definitely reinvigorated my passion for writing! And even despite my vast inconsistency and some pretty major gaps in activity over the year people are still drawn here a year after the Archives’ conception. Can I say that means I’m doing something right here? I’m going to anyway! ^_~
I’ve said it before and I’m going to say it again. You people who come here, who like what they see and who appreciate it enough to come back for more: you have made this work! You have kept me coming back and I am immensely grateful for your presence!
Let’s keep going at it the upcoming year, but this time let’s get to the next level! Let’s make that first post declaration a reality, let’s dust off those projects currently lying by the wayside and give them the love and attention they deserve and above all, let’s keep on writing and loving the gorram frack out of it! Once more, thank you! All of you! Cheers!
