Well, I’ve finally done it. For a while now I’ve been in the store looking at the painting tools and considering buying them, but in the end I always left without them. Today, though, I finally went for it and got home with a couple small canvasses, a set of brushes and of course a couple of tubes of paint. They’re fairly cheap and I doubt they’re the highest of quality, but they’ll get the job done.
During my adult life I haven’t painted all that much, but I have fond memories of the few times I did. Though in a different way than writing it’s a great form of (self-)expression and both working on and finishing something can be very soothing, relaxing and fulfilling. Plus, it gives me another way to not turn to my screens all the time. So I thought I’d give it a shot. Writing will continue as usual. It’s just another addition to my artist’s tale. If anything worthwile comes out of it I’ll bring it up here to the Archives to share!
