Chapter 2. Reunion
Part 3. The Paths Ahead
As soon as they went inside many greetings were sent and received. Nillanthir simply stood just by the cave opening and he spotted Shamila who continued gazing at his wing. Nillanthir decided to put the girl’s curiosity out of its misery and gestured for her to come over to him. The girl hesitated at first but then continued to walk over to him. “I can sense you are curious of my species,” Nillanthir said “It’s not often you see someone like myself. Even I do not know the name of my species. I bet you are wondering about my wing, right?” The girl nodded and Nillanthir then went on one knee and spread his wing out in front of the girl. He had never seen anyone so fascinated with it ever since, her.
“Umm, could I touch it?” Shamila asked, blushing from shyness.
“Sure,” Nillanthir said and nodded. The girl slightly reached out with her hand and touched the silver wing. She had never seen or felt anything like it. Nillanthir looked out and saw all the others simply watching. He took note on how Vhiran and Bultar were still holding on to each other. And it was because I gave them a second chance. Nillanthir thought and he looked back at Shamila. She then retreated her hands and Nillanthir got up onto his feet and stood. “Now,” said Nillanthir. “Now that we are all reunited, it is time we should decide on what to do.”
The others nodded in agreement and they all closed in a circle, apart from Churro. Still disheartened by the Purge, he wondered if his friends on his home planet heard about it. The cave was dark and very dim. He felt cold, though his body didn’t look it he was losing his faith in the Force. He questioned the Force, “Was this supposed to happen? Was this the will of the Force?” He started feeling lightheaded.
“Are you alright?” Nillanthir asked. He had noticed what was going on wtih Churro, but Kradd was in his own world and couldn’t hear him.
All he could hear was Sidious’ and Anakin’s voices saying, “The Jedi are gone. Leave your past behind and join us for peace.”
Then a bright light appeared. A female voice said, “You said you wouldn’t give up on the Force, Churro Kradd.”
Churro heard the voice and said, “You don’t know what I’ve been through.”
The voice then said, “No matter what happens, you must stand strong if you want the Light to overcome the Dark.” Churro faded out and went unconscious. The trauma of what had happened overwhelmed his mind.
