Hey everyone! Haaave you met Penny? No, don’t worry. I’m not going to do any Barney Stinson style matchmaking here!
In case you don’t know: Penny is the creator and host of the awesome blog Penny Shares Too Much, where she shares stories about her daily life, thoughts on various subjects and a whole lot of other fun things. Go visit it now! Like, follow, comment! You won’t regret it!
Just for good measure: you can find her here! <= Click there!
I learned about Penny a few months ago when she dropped by here with likes and comments. I of course hopped over to her blog and I will admit I got hooked pretty much instantly. Whether about theme park visits, strange encounters on the train, nights under the stars, or childhood reminiscence, whether short, long or in-between, every post has been a treat and is always written in her own awesome way which never fails to make me laugh or put a smile on my face! In addition she inspired me to become more active online (leading me to not just reading others more, but also to more liking, following and even commenting on and communicating with others!) and with my writing. And how could I forget the great confidence boost from her appreciation for my work! In short, Penny and her writing have had a great influence on and added quite a bit more colour to both my life and work and for that I am incredibly thankful!
Now, why the sudden attention for Penny and her blog? Well, having been sick for the past couple of days has prevented me from posting this yesterday, when it was supposed to go up, but you see: yesterday was Penny’s birthday. What better day to show appreciation for someone, right? And what’s more, it wasn’t just a birthday. No! She has actually passed the big eighteen! You know what that means? Yes! Never again needing to sit on your friend’s shoulders, covered by a long coat and wearing a fake beard to get alcohol!
So, a very happy (belated) birthday to you, Penny! I hope you had an amazing day celebrating this great milestone! And finally, I made you the world’s very first birthday-themed Doge haiku, both as a sign of appreciation and a little birthday present! It’s nothing big, but I hope you like it! ^_^
