Chapter 2. Reunion
Part 4. The Conclave of Zaloriis
Zerati could only watch as Churro became lost in his thoughts. He knew it was best to leave him be or else things could go wrong. He turned and faced the others. “We must discuss what to do now. I think we should split up into groups and scatter into pinpointed locations across the galaxy.” Nillanthir pulled out a small device and placed it on the rocky ground in the cave. Then a map of the galaxy appeared with all the recorded star systems and planets. Nillanthir stood still and then closed his eyes. “I will be staying here on Zaloriis. In my time here I have foreseen a giant behemoth of a creature being born into this galaxy on this very planet. I will stay here and sabotage the plan as much as I can overtime. What will you all be doing now?” Nillanthir opened his eyes and waited.
Vhiran walked over to the map and pointed at a planet just near the Deep Core. “Talus. Bultar, Shamila and I can stay there at my cousin Kahbur’s place for a short while.” He looked at Bultar and Shamila, who nodded approvingly. “We’ll only stay to stock in some provisions and clothing to replace our Jedi robes with. After that we’re out of there. I say to Nar Shaddaa for the time being; it’s crowded, far from the Core…”
“And Hutt Space,” Bultar added and nodded. “Meaning little chance of Imperial meddling.”
“Exactly.” Vhiran smirked. “We’ll be posing as a family, to lessen suspicion on our group. A married couple with a child is not very likely to be marked as Jedi.” He paused and took a short small breath. “From Nar Shaddaa we can look for a more habitable hideout where Shamila can be trained.” Vhiran paused again shortly. “And where we can begin planning our retaliation against the Empire and the Sith,” he finished and looked around to the other attendants.
A young voice then rose among those present, first shy, then with sadness but strong even then. “Masters, what will happen to me? I’m still a Padawan. I want to finish my Jedi training… And I don’t know where to go yet.” Nienna walked toward the brilliant point that represented Coruscant in the galaxy map and looked at it. She still wore the clone trooper armour under her Jedi robes. Her long black hair was picked up in a braid and her steel gray eyes were full with uncertainty. She felt alone. If her Master had not died during the Jedi Purge she would have been able to obtain her Knighthood in a bit of time. And her family… There was no longer any relative alive. An uncomfortable silence filled the cave.
Nillanthir sighed. He could not think of anywhere else Nienna could go. He had a thought but he was not sure whether it would be wise. He could feel someone trying to probe his mind and looked to see Shamila gazing at him. He smirked but kept his defence up. Would it be wise? Nillanthir thought. “I have to disagree…,” he finally said. He could see in Nienna’s eyes a slight disappointment. Nillanthir hid his smirk until he said, “I think you have already learned much and I believe you ready to be a Jedi Knight. Now you must be careful. The Sith could find any of us and kill us if they had half the chance. I have done some thinking and if anyone has absolutely nowhere to go, I suppose I could be able to look after them. They have to learn to hunt and survive in these conditions for years with me and have what it takes. This is only a last resort, though.” Nillanthir’s gaze met all and he then looked at Master Jordan. What will you do, I wonder…
