Another day, another chunk of writing. I didn’t manage to catch up entirely and write all the words I didn’t get in yesterday, but then again I didn’t expect to reach that goal anyway. What I did do was actually write over 1900 words today, which means I’m now less than 1000 words behind on schedule, instead of the 1219 of yesterday. It’s a fairly small gain, sure, but if I keep going at this rate and actually write greater amounts with every passing day, then it won’t be too hard to catch up to where I need to be. Hey, perhaps when next Monday comes around I’m already way ahead! I’m not holding my breath for that to happen, but it would certainly be something. Right now, I’m still quite enjoying my first attempt at NaNoWriMo. The prologue and the first major scene of the first chapter are as good as done. Oh, and we also have some new names! The ‘oppressed people’ are now called Umari and their land Umar. The ‘main militia’ and the ‘people’s government’ are respectively the Umari Liberation Front and the Umari Authority. They’re actually names that have some meaning behind them, rather than just being chosen for how they sound, but I’ll go into that some other time. For now I will be heading for bed so I’ll be fresh and well-rested before returning to tomorrow’s writing duties!
Good writing, goodnight, and until next time! ^_^
