Chapter 4. Walking on the Edge
Part 4. Aggressive Negotiations
Nor-Ca saw all that was happening to Master Jordan. Now he could not just stay there and watch. “Leave him alone, or meet your doom,” Nor-Ca said calmly, but used the Force to increase the power in his voice to intimidate them.
“And who are you, giving us orders?” One of the men said. “You seem to know this guy, so you’ll know he’s a Jedi. And we just beat the poodoo out of him! So if you don’t want to…”
“I will count to three, and then you will give me that man, or someone may get ‘hurt’,” Nor-Ca continued strictly, ignoring the man’s threats. “One…,” Nor-Ca said and ignited his lightsaber.
“Oh?!” A man in the back grinned widely. “Another one, ey?! Looks like we’ve hit the jackpot today!”

In a split second, the silver blade cut through the man’s hand and returned to its wielder. The attacker’s hand, still holding the blaster, fell to the ground. Aghast, the man looked at the smouldering burn where his hand had been only moments ago, then screamed out in pain. “I don’t have time to play with you.” Nor-Ca firmly stepped forward as he spoke. “Give me Jordan now, or I will have resort to force… And then I might not guarantee you will live…” Gulping, the men in front of him did a step away from the approaching Jedi. They finally understood how serious he was and after a slight moment of hesitation ran off. With a quick piercing look behind him, Nor-Ca scared the men there away as well. He knelt at Jordan’s side and noticed his wounds were more severe than they appeared. If he didn’t act soon, it was likely he would bleed to death. How was it my Master taught me again? Nor-Ca thought, preparing himself to heal the wounded Master. He closed his eyes and placed his left hand on Jordan’s face. Concentrate on the damage and let the Force flow through it…
