Projecting Again

There are currently two weekly projects ongoing on my blog: Order 66 and The Artist’s Tale. They’ve been a consistent presence here and I intend for them to remain that. Of course Order 66 is not that far from its conclusion. There is plenty of work waiting to be posted, though, and as such Monday will remain a Star Wars themed day after Order 66 ends, probably about a month or two from now. However, there’s been a rather clear case of, tardiness and inconsistency surrounding my writing and posting lately and to combat that I thought it would be a good idea to get a posting schedule of sorts up again, to add a bit of structure to it all. The best way to do that? Look at which projects I’ve been meaning to work on and pick one of them. That one project will be added to the weekly schedule, allowing for more structured and hopefully more consistent posting. It may not be much for now, but I think one step at a time will work well. Better to have slow progress than rushing to get too much out at once and having everything collapse again, right?

Now, what are the projects I’ve wanted to work on? First there is of course the story I wrote for NaNoWriMo, a story I want to expand upon and eventually turn into an actual novel. That’s going to happen mostly behind the scenes, though, though progress reports or logs are definitely an option. Throughout my blogging ‘career’ I also … several ideas for writing series. Most notably there were my idea of looking at and discussing certain topics or concepts I had problems with and thought the world would be better without and my putting my muses, the writers, and other famous people who greatly inspired me in one way or another, in the spotlight. It’s obvious that those two were never realised. I’ve never quite managed to sit down and actually kickstart them. Perhaps sometime in the near future.

I’ve also considered finally working on that Gundam Wing story of mine, based on the old role play I participated in andurrently going by the name Roses and Rapiers. I had already made a start with it a while ago, but I’ve since lost the written progress. The ideas are mostly in my head, though, and it’s mostly a matter of something I seem to have trouble with: sitting down and actually work on it. I think this is not an unrealistic option, but for now, I’ve chose to take a different route.

The option I believe would garner most success in the goals mentioned above would be, I believe, a project that’s already been started and been going on for quite a while. It’s just seen a pretty massive hiatus. I’m talking, of course, about Project Realm, my attempt at building up the fantasy world I created playing with a friend many years ago. I have yet to decide upon a set weekly day, but as of next week Project Realm will return! Last time we left off it was in the middle of describing the various peoples inhabiting the Realm and so that is where we shall continue! It’ll be the first step in making the Ashukahwa Archives great again! … Wait, that didn’t quite come out right… Aaanyway! I hope you’ll be joining me! It’ll be fun! There shall be kitties! … No, really there will be! Well, maybe not immediately, but they are coming! You’ll see! ^_^ Until then!

Ever since a group of shoes held a birthday party a long, long time ago (though in a galaxy not that far away) a little boy’s appreciation for creation was born. And so, throughout the following years shoes partied, a dinosaur travelled through time, oddly shaped football players went on adventures, a young wanderer became a knight, a comedian rose to godhood, Jedi fought an evil empire, a war between cyborg warlords and human-insect hybrids engulfed the world… The boy had learned how with only words on paper (and from times to time a few pictures) he was able to bring people, places, even entire worlds to life. By now that little boy has reached almost the third decade of his life and his love for telling stories has not ceased. And finally, long after he had planned to, he has decided to share these stories with the world. Whether you are a new or already familiar face: welcome to this little archive of mine! This is a place where I will, finally, actually be sharing my writing with others. It will feature pretty much anything I feel like sharing, both old and new stories, fan-fiction and original content, and probably some non-fiction added in at times. So, if you like reading, writing, stories (or me ^_~), drop by, drop a comment (I can’t promise I’ll get back to you quickly, since I’m horrible at that, but I’ll do my best) and, drop it like it’s hot. … Sorry… ^_^; In any case, I hope you’ll enjoy yourself and I look forward to seeing you around!

Who? Just your average descendant of two sea-faring peoples, recently graduated anthropology Master and aspiring author with a life-long passion for writing.

What? Uhm, human. I think... Also a bit crazy, but in a good way. I think...

Where? A land under the sea, far, far away. Occasionally with my head in the clouds.

Why? Trying to get both my work and my love for writing out there, sharing them with others and getting in touch with fellow writers, artists and other like-minded people.

Hi! ^_^
