It probably wouldn’t be far-fetched to say that finding it difficult to consistently and spontaneously write as of late has proven to be one of my greatest sources of inspiration for my writing recently. This difficulty is in part because, while you certainly need to put in effort yourself to actually get it done, inspiration is absolutely a necessity when it comes to making art, writing or otherwise. And it’s not that inspiration is necessarily lacking, but more that it I’ve found it difficult to process into something, tangible, so to speak. That’s of course where putting in effort comes into play, overlapping with reason number two for the difficulty with writing: I get distracted really easily!
And that’s when I go do other things than writing, mostly behind one screen or another. Eventually the time I had once planned to be the time I get my posts online has almost arrived and before you kno it has inevitably passed before anything is done. It’s fairly frustrating and it’s the main reason why the majority of my posts have been so late lately (hah!). Of course, like I said, it once again turns into inspiration for works I might otherwise not even have thought about writing, but I do hope I can get myself back on track again soon.
Once again I started
With my writing much too late
Once again unable
To just make distractions wait
Once again a day
On which I rashly take the bait
Once again I’m thinking
I won’t finish at this rate
And so once again I ponder
How to turn this posture straight
