1. Nar Shaddaa
“I obviously missed something,” Bultar’s voice sounded sarcastically just after the two comrades let go. “Do fill me in, Vhiran,” she continued in the same tone while rubbing her face, still feeling the clone’s punch. Bultar used the Force to let the bleeding stop quicker. Vhiran offered his hand and helped her stand up.
“My apologies, miss,” Flash said to Swan while now sitting kneeled down at the other Jedi he had knocked unconscious.
Shamila’s eyes flashed open. A man’s scarred face looked down at her. “Hello there,” the man said. Moving her look downwards, the little Padawan could now see the clone trooper armor he wore. Her eyes narrowed. “Are you…” Before the man could finish his words, Shamila had moved her leg up and delivered a fierce kick into his face. She jumped up and took on a defensive combat stance. Surprised by the girl’s sudden reaction, Flash fell over. He grunted shortly and placed his hand on his right eye. “Aah, that’s gonna leave a mark.” The commando sat upright and grinned at Shamila. “Nice one,” he laughed. That moment, the three troopers that had searched the building came out of the entrance. They looked around to see three Jedi, one unconscious clone and their captain sitting on the ground. “Took you long enough!” Flash called to them. “Come here and take a look at what I found!” he said with a grin.
Only halfway, the other trooper in ARC armor stopped in his tracks. He took off his helmet and rubbed his eyes. “Jango’s bones!” he exclaimed. “Is that…”
Flash’s grin widened at the trooper’s amazed look. “You betcha,” he replied and stood up, turning to Vhiran. “General, you remember Demo, don’t you?”
A smirk appeared on Vhiran’s face. Commando Alpha-38, nicknamed Demo, had been the sapper and demolitions expert of Alpha Squad. That explained why the troopers had so easily moved past the set booby-traps in the building. “How could I forget?” he replied.
Shamila looked questioningly from Vhiran to the clones and back to her Master, unaware of what had happened while she had been unconscious.
“Shamila, Bultar,” Vhiran replied to the girl’s look. “These men are two of the elite commandos that fought at my side during the war. They are my friends, they are my brothers and they are the best. These are great men we can depend on.”
