Random word of the day: Olive
I’m a very socially engaged person. It’s been that way ever since I was little and it has always remained a major part of me. However, I’m not very good at social or political rants, or really any kind of rants in which I might get my thoughts on such topics across. Too often I either get off-track without getting to the point I was trying to make, it turns into a massive directionless wall of text, or I get so emotional I’m unable to get any words written down. Some combination of the three is not uncommon. So, I usually leave the ranting, the debating and the like to those whose mind, demeanour and blood pressure are more up to that task.
I prefer this manner of expression, putting my thoughts into poetry and sharing them that way. It’s not as immediately to-the-point as aforementioned rants, hopefully it gets the point across, or at least gets the reader to stop and think, if only just a little.
