The amount that could have been written might have been a fair bit higher if I hadn’t spent quite a few hours distracted by both the “usual suspects” and figuring out how to remove ink from a leaking printer cartridge from my hands. Still, at the rate it’s going today, it looks like this day could well be treading in yesterday’s footsteps and have around 2,000 words to its name! It still won’t be enough to fill up the gap left by day two, but that’s fine. We’ll cross that bridge when we get to it. I’m writing what I can and if the last few days are any indication for the future, I have a feeling I’ll be back on track before too long. Feels good.
Right now the prelude is as good as done, turning out very close to what I had imagined, so now it’s back to where I left in the story. I won’t give away too much, but things are really beginning to heat up in there, and we’re not even close to the story’s climax! I’m also noticing that I am getting more used to writing humour, which is of course a vital part in getting this story right. While I’m still very much testing these waters and it’s far from a cakewalk, I have a good feeling about where it’s going.
Overall, despite the obstacles, definitely not a bad day, today. Let’s see if we can make it even better! ^_^
