Another long day, another late log. Most of the work was done during the day, as I knew I had an important event I had to attend to, so there wasn’t going to be a whole lot night writing today. Still, adding a bit of writing in the train there and some more when coming back home to the rest of the day’s work, I managed hitting another 2,000 worder! So despite it all, still a very successful writing day!
It seems like an uphill battle sometimes, but by getting to the point I was supposed to be yesterday, I feel like I am shrinking the gap bit by bit. It may be a bit tiresome to see something about ‘the gap’ or ‘the delay’ pop up are every day, but it’s proven to be a major aspect of my personal NaNoWriMo journey this year, so, it’s bound to show up here. So, uhm… Suck it! :P (Really, though, please don’t actually suck it! ^_~).
The part I wrote today, featuring one of the story’s first big confrontations, was incredibly fun. The scaffolding and materials for this particular seen were already laid out, but actually seeing it build up, while at the same time tackling a certain overused cliche was very fulfilling! Plus, I’ve been learning a bit more about France and added a new location to the world (ok, tiny unveiling, it’s an island), without artificially extending the story, which I’m quite excited about.
All in all, a fairly good (well, depending on how much you’re allowing certain political events to take over your head) with fairly good progress and fairly good expectations for November’s remaining days. Tomorrow’s another work day, but if last Thursday (also this for extra context) is any indication, I have not a worry in my mind! I suppose we shall see: tomorrow! ^_^
