You know, my semi-superstitious side is worrying that the major progress I’m making might be a sign things are on the verge of getting really, really bad! Whether that concern is understandable or just overly paranoid, though, I’ll leave to the experts, but it can’t be denied that writing has been going tremendously well these past couple of days! Was I more than a day behind for quite a while, I’ve gained so much ground today that I’m only about 500 words below the word for the day! That means that I need just one more relatively successful writing day to get completely back on track! Pretty exciting, if I do say so myself, even if tomorrow is a work day!
The parts I’ve written today contain some pretty big moments as well, one of the most exciting among them being the first actual ‘on-screen’ appearance of the story’s main antagonists, which the story has mostly been hinting at until this point. The story is coming along quite nicely and the spaces in-between the broad plot strokes are being filled in, without a whole lot of trouble. I’m not quite where I’d expected I’d be in the story by now, nearly halfway through the month, but I am being pleasantly surprised at every corner and I like where it’s heading.
Let’s see now what the coming days will bring. Will the success be a harbinger of dark tidings or will Pwnage continue to ride the glorious wave of progress? Tune in next time for another exciting (there’s that word again!) installment of the Ashukahwa Archives’ NaNoWriMo 2016 to find out! ^_^
