The title covers it all. Last week was not an extraordinary week for Star Wars writing. A bit was done, at the end of the week, but especially considering the time I actually had this time around, the amount actually written is, disappointing. In my defence, trying to create Magic the Gathering cards for my story characters is very enjoyable and actually a great opportunity to get to know my characters better. However, if I’d spent even half the time I was doing that on writing, I’d probably have several chapters finished chapters lying before me right now. So, did I achieve what I set out to achieve last week? Marginally at best, in the sense that some writing got done. Overall, I don’t think I’m off to a great first lap, particularly with a more busy period ahead. Still, I’m confident I’ll be picking up the slack and get that Frontline moving! I mean, how else are we going to reach the offensive line we set up? … That, was a little joke for you Hearts of Iron players out there. ^_^
There’s another character profile coming up shortly after this. If you’ve read Between the Conclaves (if if you haven’t, you can do so right here!), you might notice a few changes that diverge from what’s been in the stories so far. They’re minor ones, really, and won’t significantly affect the character’s personality, history or really anything that makes them who they are. I am in the process of doing making some revisions to my original material, however, and these changes are among them. As tiny and seemingly insignificant as they may seem, I believe they are necessary to improve both the characters and the story as a whole. I also believe they’re worth mentioning right here and now, if only to be ahead of that overly observant and critical reader noticing the changes and calling me out on it… ^_^; After the character’s revealed, I may get into the actual details. Right now, though, please enjoy today’s content and may the Force be with you!
