ARC-8001, nicknamed “Ghost”, was a Human ARC trooper lieutenant who lived during the final years of the Galactic Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire. Ghost was the stealth specialist and top marksman of the clone commando team Saber Squad, often operating in the shadows as a scout, sniper or infiltrator. A year into the Clone Wars, Ghost and the rest of Saber Squad were placed under the command of Jedi general Vhiran Ahsukahwa and would remain so for the rest of the war. After the war, Ghost would be stationed at an Imperial outpost on Dantooine, where he learned of his squadmates’ reunion with Ashukahwa. Out of loyalty to his general, Ghost, like his squadmates, decided not to execute Order 66 and instead led Vhiran and his fellow Jedi safely to Dantooine. There he helped to keep them hidden and secretly provided them with intelligence and supplies as they laid the groundwork for their resitance against the Empire.
Powers and Abilities
Like all members of Saber Squad, Ghost received both standard clone trooper as well as ARC trooper training on Kamino. During his training, his prowess in stealth came to the fore. Ghost’s naturally quick and quiet step and his agility allowed him to move unnoticed in and out most locations and situations. To enhance his stealth abilities, he was always equipped with lighter armor and a personal stealth field generator, rendering him all but invisible to the naked eye. Besides serving him greatly in his role as his squad’s main infiltrator and on the occasional scouting duties, Ghost’s skills and equipment were what eventually led to his nickname.
In addition, his remarkably sharp eyesight and incredible skill in the use of numerous types of firearms made Ghost a top marksman. His primary weapon of choice was the DC-15x sniper rifle, which he used to support his allies ahead of or during an attack by dispatching or softening up enemies from a distance. For situations that forced him into close quarters, such as infiltrating an enemy base, he carried a DC-17 blaster pistol, equipped with a silencer, and a vibroknife, allowing for swift and stealthy kills up close. Of the latter two weapons, Ghost tended to favour the quieter knife and used the blaster mainly in emergency situations.
