ARC-2113, nicknamed “Demo”, was a Human ARC trooper lieutenant who lived during the final years of the Galactic Republic and the rise of the Galactic Empire. The sapper and demolitions specialist of clone commando team Saber Squad, Demo’s main tasks included sabotage of enemy structures, defusing explosives and the use of a variety of explosive weaponry, such as grenades and rockets, in the field. A year into the Clone Wars, Demo and his squad were placed under the command of Jedi General Vhiran Ashukahwa and would remain so for the rest of the war. After the end of the war, he was stationed at an Imperial garrison on Nar Shaddaa with several of his squadmates. There Demo was reunited with Ashukahwa and, like the rest of Saber Squad, not willing to betray his loyalty to his old general, didn’t execute Order 66. He instead helped hide and protect Vhiran and his fellow Jedi and joined them in their preparations to strike back against the Empire.
Powers and Abilities
Demo, like the rest of Saber Squad, received both regular clone trooper and ARC trooper training on Kamino, turning him into one of the Republic’s elite commandos. During his training he showed to primarily have a knack for virtually anything to do with explosives. Whether it was for the disarmament, construction or simply the use of most known explosive devices, Demo set the bar … high. In addition, he was very adapt at sabotage and capable of quickly discerning how much of what kind of explosive would be necessary to deal whatever damage to enemy bases, fortifications and other structures. His skill and love
Even more-so than his squad mates, Demo possessed remarkable resistance against heat and pain, having shown the ability to shrug off situations that would at least make most others flinch. His singed hair and the burn marks on his face are testament to Demo’s tendency to be unfazed and stride on even when struck by enemy fire or being caught in an explosion, for better or worse.
Demo always went into the field wielding a WESTAR-M5 blaster rifle with an under-barrel grenade launcher attachment, as well as over a handful of grenades. The types of the grenades used depended on the mission, but baradium-core code key thermal detonators, ion grenades and portable mines tended to be among the standard equipment. In case of a sabotage operation, Demo would be equipped with the heavier types of explosives these missions required, such as sticky bombs and breach and sapper charges.
