Hi everyone! Guess who’s back?! It’s been nearly a week since I’ve returned from my second grand journey to Japan. What a trip it has been, full of amazing sights, exciting discoveries and all-around epic experiences! Oh, I’m looking forward to sharing some of the highlights with all of you, which I definitely intend to do this time! ^_^;
Coming back home, seeing my family again, being able to share my stories, I definitely wouldn’t call it a bad thing. Still, just like four years ago, the end to the great adventure seemed all too sudden, and even now, my attempts to get back into the usual flow are sluggish as I can’t shake the feeling of how much I miss that place…
If I had the chance to stay a few weeks longer, I’d take it in a heartbeat! All good things must come to an end, of course, but that doesn’t necessarily make it easy. Therefore, something a little different today. Next week should see the return of The Artist’s Tale, but today I’d like to share a haiku in honour of another journey’s end. Please enjoy.
The sun sets once more
Days go by as in a blur
Here comes the longing
